Black Shark 1 activation/de-activation without installing:

After you have installed BS 1 (again)...

You have to copy the folder

\Program Files (x86)\Eagle Dynamics\Ka-50\bin\stable

and and keep it save at a secure place.

This folder is only 34 Megabyte big but contains all info that is needed to maintain your BS 1 activation.

(the possibility is very high that much less files are needed.. - but I hope you understand that I don't wanted to start experimenting with my remaining activations for BS1... I tested it once - and this is more than enough)

example:

I moved this folder to my saved games and renamed it to

"BS1 Protect".

Now you can un-install BS1 as usual.

So whenever there is the vastly improbable case that you have to deactivate and/or activate BS1 (once again) because you are installing a patch for DCS World - you will only have to execute the protect.exe in this folder - without the need to install BS1 completely again.

@ED - How about uploading this "BS1 installation Dummy" to the user-files section ?

Good tip

But I don't think it helps if your activation is corrupted

You will lose an activation whenever that happens

For this I guess you can use Ghost / TrueImage to reinstall your machine and then deactivate (as long as your hardware hasn't changed)

Can I deactivate after activation and get my activation back again?

??

Please elaborate - your sentence makes no logical sense to me. Maybe I'm just lost in translation...

When you use one activation = it is used and gone and can't be restored.

Imagine this sequence of events:

- install bs1

- activate (activations reduced by 1)

- take image of os

- reinstall windows

- install bs1

- activate (activations reduced by 1)

- restore image of previous os

- deactivate

will I get 1 activation back?

(when you use 1 activation you can get it back by deactivating)

Oh - Now I now what you are after....

But, you forgot on tiny detail in your logical reasoning:

Internet connection is required while changing the activation status.

(or submittingng your a hardware-key when choosing offline-activation)

So I edited your sequence to show you what is really happening when applying these steps:

Imagine this sequence of events:

- install bs1

- activate (activations reduced by 1 via internet validation)

- take image of os

- reinstall windows

- install bs1

- activate (activations reduced by 1 via internet validation)

- restore image of previous os

- deactivate (de-activation reduced by 1 via internet validation)

when you use 1 activation/de-activation it will be registered by Starforce and also a hardware-key of your current system will be generated that is chained to your current activation status.

The number of your remaining activations is not stored at your system.

So:

No, you can't trick the activation process. Whatever you do it will be noticed by Starforce and you cant get a activation back without using a deactivation beforehand.
