They seem to be hidden under the seat, how do you see them? You cant glance / snap view by default to tank gauges. Follow this: 1) Backup view.LUA located in Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\ 2) open the file with notepad ++ and scroll down to line number 48 UseDefaultSnapViews = true change true to false, save. 3) Boot game 4) before unpausing mission, press num lock 5) press num / to zoom all the way out 6) move the view to the tank gauge to the left first, zoom in to better read it, then press LCTRL+LWIN+Num1 then press RALT + NUM 0 7) repeat procedure for right tank, to LCTRL + LWIN + NUM 3 then RALT + NUM 0 8 - for fuselage tank, slew view to it, through the holes in the seat, and press LCTRL + LWIN + NUM 7 then RALT + NUM 0 9) after finishing, this is the tank views snapped to each of num 1 for left gauge, num 3 for right gauge and num 7 for fuselage tank gauge. 10) to toggle snap views. press numlock then num 0 then desired num number.. cichlidfan Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 Btw, the default snap view #4 already shows the fuel gauge behind the seat quite clearly and you should not need snap views to see the ones on the floor. tusler Posted October 13, 2012 Author Posted October 13, 2012 Ok I am really baffled now. I am using an old Track IR, the one that has Horizontal and vertical movement only. no tilt or lean. Soooo, my snap views do not work with track IR anyway. Perhaps I can setup a second monitor and have the fuel gages exported to that monitor.:megalol: I am amazed that this is even a problem.:noexpression::music_whistling: Ask Jesus for Forgiveness before you takeoff :pilotfly:! They work with it or without it. The version of TIR should not matter. You can't export the fuel gauge. A human in the cockpit would not have a problem, which is one of the reasons they coded view #4 to look at that fuel gauge. EDIT: For setting up your snap views, I would pause TIR and use the keyboard view controls to move the view around. That will take the limits of your TIR out of the equation. tusler Posted October 13, 2012 Author Posted October 13, 2012 I am going to read the manual again, snap view 4 is what I need, I paused TIR like you said, I tried every one of the keys on the num pad and none of them showed the fuel gauge. I must have missed something in the manual. thanks Ask Jesus for Forgiveness before you takeoff :pilotfly:! cichlidfan Posted October 13, 2012 Posted October 13, 2012 That is the default view for #4. You must hold Num0 and Num4 to see the correct view. I am not sure what the view may show if you are not using the defaults (if you made WildBill's edit in the View.lua then you are not using defaults). I don't recall snap views being covered in the manual but I could be wrong. tusler Posted October 13, 2012 Author Posted October 13, 2012 I got it figure out, at least one way I can do it. I can pause TIR then hold the Rcntrl+Rshift+Num4 or Num6 key to see the gauge real quick. It is in the Default keyboard bindings for 1.1.2.1 that someone put on the site. Thanks for all the help!
