Tank Barrel Elevation

Just wondering if anybody knows why a tank's barrel elevates after it's fired a round? If you have ever seen them the barrel moves immediately upwards after each shot. Anyone know why?

In soviet tanks its called "loading angle", barrel must be set to certain angle, otherwise autoloader won't be able to push shell in a chamber.
