Monkey89 Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Hi all, from the UK, Im pretty up to date with Flight Sims, but after stumbling across DCS A10c on youtube, I really want to get into it. Ive been browsing the DCS website, but am a little confused about what to download and purchase etc. Im only really interested in the A10c warthog but would like to play online with others, do I only need DCS world, and DCS a10? only a10 V1.2.1? everything? Thanks for your help in advance
Jona33 Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Download and install this first:http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?ProductId=21&end_pos=137&scr=product&lang=en Then this:http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=8&end_pos=136&lang=en At some point buy A-10 through this link: (scroll down a bit) http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?end_pos=1322&scr=shop&lang=en You'll need an account to buy the game and this is the most recent version. When you buy the game you should recieve and email with the serial number. After installing both things above fly a mission with the A-10 and you will be asked for your serial number. Put the number in there and you're done. Hope this helps. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
Monkey89 Posted October 24, 2012 Author Posted October 24, 2012 Thank you, ill get downloading, fingers crossed its all hassle free :) So how often does everyone get online for a large session?
joey45 Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 So how often does everyone get online for a large session? what time zone...? Oh and welcome. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. joey45 Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 What time zone do/can you fly in..?;) The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance. Jona33 Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Presumably BST Joey ;). Location: UK presumably means that. Always remember. I don't have a clue what I'm doing
Monkey89 Posted October 24, 2012 Author Posted October 24, 2012 Thats the one Jona, all depending on what shifts I'm on at work as I do rolling three weeks of nights, lates, earlies. Which is crippling to the body clock, but means I have plenty of time to Sim one week, some another, and none the other! haha Well downloading everything tonight, possibly get it set up and figuring it all out in the next few days.
joey45 Posted October 24, 2012 Posted October 24, 2012 Well being on late shift for over a year I was flying US time zones... Now I'm early shifts [for god knows how long] I'm now UK zone. The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.
