Brit_Radar_Dude Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Gotta get the TIR! Like CountryCowFreak, Ruggbutt etc all said, you'll wonder how you ever managed without one, after about a week of using it and occasional profile tweaking to your taste, it will become second nature to use it. Only about 5% of folks who get one dont like it. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....
Rooks Posted November 14, 2005 Author Posted November 14, 2005 How would you like both Rooks? I have a Tir1 that is just sitting here. I will sell it very cheap to give you a chance to see how you like Tir, while allowing you to buy a stick too. If anyone is interested contact me here: scotsue@comcast.net I will let it go for $30.00US Plus shipping. Later Thanks but will have to pass I'm afraid international shipping & payment is a bit of a pain considering that I'm from Australia & I tend to stay away from credit cards for the time being. I'm limited to one new piece of hardware if I absolutely must according to the wife-to-be (10 weeks and counting down) one false move and....:icon_evil  :icon_hang. Might be able to get away with an X52 seeing as they are becoming cheaper here and have found a place that only ships the new firmware versions :icon_keel
S77th-konkussion Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Track IR first. The HOTAS can come later- if it must. The TRACK is all about SA- and making it as natural as possible. If you're unable to map certain functions on your existing stick because you need the button just to see- you're missing out. DON'T DO IT MAN, IT'S A TRAP!!! I know you will be stupid and marry her anyway--hell we all do it!! Just don't say I didn't warn ya . . . :D LOL :) No, she is absolutely stunning and THE nicest person I have met in my life, looks after me really well, no complaints. Doesn't really like computers but lets me upgrade when I need to, so she doesn't mind me playing sims just doesn't understand them. As long as solitare is on the pc everybody's happy.
S77th-konkussion Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Marriage is grand. Divorce is a hundred grand. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
Fish Posted November 14, 2005 Posted November 14, 2005 Ive been playing sims since 1991, and two things for me have dramatically improved the 'immersion' 1. The first 3dfx graphics card with EF2000 2. TIR with VE, in FC. For me no contest. TIR. But then you will definitely want a good HOTAS.
