0utLAW Posted November 11, 2012 Posted November 11, 2012 (edited) Hey guys, I making a short 2 part video for an introduction to Helios. Let me know what you think and if you have any comments or would like to see a topic covered. I'm no expert in Helios but would like to have a source of the basic workings of this great program. I'm still working on part 2 and will post it in this message when it's complete. 0utLAW Posted November 12, 2012 Author Posted November 12, 2012 i will take a look when im home work pc doesnt allow videos lol im makig the key bindings atm on mypanel does it include in your 2nd tutorial? I show how to set the bindings for the toggle switches in Helios that in turn update the switch position in the game and vice versa. I also show how to bind physical real world toggles switches to control those in Helios as well as the game. Let me know if you have any questions and I will be happy to assist if I can. i7-8700k 3.70mhz|64GB DDR4 G.SKILL Ripjaw V 3200|ASUS ROG STRIX GeForce RTX 2080 8G GDDR6|AsRockZ390 Extreme4|2 Samsung 870QVO 1TB, 1 Samsung 860 QVO 1TB, 1 Samsung 860EVO 500GB|Corsair 750D|Corsair H-100i|Corsair AX750|LG 34GN850-B|Acer UT241Y|TM Cougar MFDs| Buddyfox UFC|TM Warthog HOTAS(Modified Spring/Slew Control Stick, Upgraded PCB, Stick Extension)|Saitek Combat Pedals|Corsair Nightsword|Corsair K70|TrackIR5|Custom A-10C Panels|

agrasyuk Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Moken, only 4 or 5 of those exist in nature. were you one of the original buyers? If so how did you manage to hold of on config all this time! Lol :) Regardless, mapping it is easy. The device connects to USB but it is actually a serial port adapter. You need FTDI VSP drivers (look on the cable, see it says "ftdi"). Once connected open a profile editor , choose add interface, select EOS bus and specify the number of virtual serial port. Click scan. Cmsp will be listed there with its inputs and outputs like usual USB devices. Proceed mapping normally. Anton. My pit build thread . Simple and cheap UFC project
moken Posted January 25, 2013 Posted January 25, 2013 Thanks Anton and Gadroc support, but I can not find the which one output name of CMSP for blinding , tomorrow i will send my problem screen in here ask again, Sorry , I know that I am stupid on electric skill , I hope to learn more from you

saskcan Posted January 27, 2013 Posted January 27, 2013 Nice video! I found it as a great introduction to Helios. I look forward to configuring my cockpit when I get all the pieces together!
0utLAW Posted January 27, 2013 Author Posted January 27, 2013 Thanks for the comment saskcan. And thank you agrasyuk for your help with moken's issue. Currently, I do not have any rotaries, potentiometers, seven segment displays or LCDs in my pit. Though I would like to add some when my funds are a little more in line.(unemployed at the moment) I have only been using three of the GroovyGameGear GP-Wiz 40 Max boards to connect toggle switches and momentary push buttons. I would however, like to get my hands on Pokey and Phidgets boards to compare and evaluate them. I still need to learn about interfacing rotaries, potentiometers, seven segment displays and LCDs. Once I do, I'd be more than happy to make videos showing how to interface them with Helios and DCS. I don't know just something in me likes to make tutorial videos. Helps me learn and remember I guess. Also, I just like sharing knowledge.
