OverDhill Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Hey guys... I recently retired and I am trying to setup a dedicated rig for flight sims. I own Lock On Platinum and came across some discussion for LEAVU. I purchased Cougar MFD's and have an old 15" touchscreen around the house and would like to extract the MFD's for FC2. Is LEAVU still usable or did Gear replace it or some other way? What is the best approach to extract MFD's from FC2? I tried the links posted in the threads but they don't appear to be working any more. I have been playing around with Falcon BMS and have to admit the built in extractor is nice. My system is a little dated so that is why I want to stay with Falcon BMS, Lock On FC2, and IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 for the time being. If I get more proficient then I will look at upgrading my system for the newer generations of flight sims. I am also looking at setting up Freetrack to use. Is that application still viable or should I just spend the money on TrackIR? My system: Intel E6750 OC to 3.2GHZ EVGA 560ti 2GB 3GB RAM X52PRO Cougar MFD WinXP Pro Thanks OverDhill
Sci2 Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 I can realy suggest spending money on TrackIR5 ones you have that you dont want something else anymore it makes simming just a little bit " more" Freetrack is useable but it doesnt even gets close to TrackIR LEAVU is still downloadable look it up in google ( thats how i got it last week ) cant tell yout he link since im at work atm [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic90574_1.gif[/sIGPIC] Australasian Gaming Community Specs: Intel Quad 2.4GHz -- Geforce GTX 560 Duo -- SSD HDD -- 8Gb Mem -- 23" led -- 17"touch -- Logitech G940 Flight System --JoyLocs-- TIR 5 -- Cougar MFD'S -- Helios -
Nopileus Posted November 13, 2012 Posted November 13, 2012 Freetrack is useable but it doesnt even gets close to TrackIR Oh it does using the right camera (PS Eye) and settings, its just buggy as hell and hard to set up  Which is why i got a TIR5, not cost effective but works perfectly without tinkering.

OverDhill Posted November 14, 2012 Author Posted November 14, 2012 Okay I have TrackIR 5 on order. Does anyone here have the Cougar MFD's? Also is there any must have mods for FC2 that I should look into? I also have the X52 PRO setup. Is there any good profiles for it for LOFLC2? I just want to have a nice setup before I spend time learning the game. Thanks
nickmow Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 Cougar MFDs here, excellent for A10c and Ka50. Limited use in FC3 as I don't think the buttons are I game. However you can map any function you want to them. I have yet to fly the A10A so don't know about the key map yet
Sci2 Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 i have never bin into FC2 so i cant tell you about that the cougar mfds are great! as nich said you can map them to anything you like in any game since its just a " controller" in dcs world its great to use with the A-10c or the KA-50 they come pretty handy for these [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/signaturepics/sigpic90574_1.gif[/sIGPIC] Australasian Gaming Community Specs: Intel Quad 2.4GHz -- Geforce GTX 560 Duo -- SSD HDD -- 8Gb Mem -- 23" led -- 17"touch -- Logitech G940 Flight System --JoyLocs-- TIR 5 -- Cougar MFD'S -- Helios -
