FC3 major resource hog

Let me add:

Does FC3 require greater RAM than did FC2?

 

I have purchased FC3 and have a question. When I use FC2 it uses approx. 1/2 gigbyte of RAM to run, above my normal system useage. When I use FC3 it uses over 2 gigbytes of RAM, above my normal system useage. I have 4 gigbytes of RAM DDR3, WIN 7/64 bit, 1 gig video card, 2.83 mghtz processor AND can barely run FC3 unless I turn down the visual settings. What is wrong with FC3 that it uses so much RAM?

Sounds good to me :) Perhaps you should considering upgrading your RAM. It's extremely cheap now a days.

 

 

 

When you say "sound good to me" what exactly do you mean?

• What are your specs for your system?
  
• What is your RAM usage for FC3 above what your system normally uses?

I thought I had problems until I started to read everyone else's.

All I had to do was load in 4gigs more of ram

Also the anti-aliasing reduces frame rate quite a bit.

yup, that would do it, it's not FC3 that is using more RAM it's DCS World which is much better in graphics department than FC2, and as consequence it uses more RAM
