bunraku Posted November 16, 2005 Posted November 16, 2005 Hi Not so much a bug as general advice. I have a Saitek X-45. In Lomac if i try and fly a dead straight course i tend to drift to the side slightly over time. This is especially getting annoying when doing CCRP Bombing etc in the A-10. Any idea how to fix this? Any dead zones that can fix? Thanx

bunraku Posted November 16, 2005 Author Posted November 16, 2005 No idea? I am taking over the CCRP training mission which is done perfectly straight by the demonstrator.
kato217 Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 Make sure you have set a fairly generous deaband in your rudder, and a little in your roll axis. Pilotasso Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I had this too with my TM afterburner II. After a complete reeinstall it was gone...weird.(I had 1.11 installed over my old install) .
Silent Warrior Posted November 17, 2005 Posted November 17, 2005 I have a similar problem (also using X45), but for me it's not a horizontal drift, one of the engines (always on A-10, happens with no other craft) doesn't work. I'm not very good at describing this sort of thing, but I take off all normal and stuff, use the autopilot, and then one engine croaks when autopilot is turned off. Comes back up when I turn the autopilot on again. Talk about a thorough ruination of your gun-aiming... Could this be the case for you too?
Guest rigidkitchen Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 I have an x45 and I get the same issue. On top of that, when I turn AP on and off it pushes my stick to the far left. I had to reset my axes because it carried over into the next mission. Is this an x45 problem or a software problem? It sounds similar to the engine cutting off scenario though, maybe it ****s with the stick somehow. My x45 has caused no difficulties in any other simulation.
S77th-konkussion Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Both of you should go into LOMAC's options/ input menu, Switch to "axes" clear & re map the axes Pitch roll rudder thrust (not L & R thrust, just thrust) optional zoom view MFD zoom trim Clear setup instructions with screenshots are available by clicking on sig. Amd YES- the deadzone and sensitivities are completely adjustable from within that same menu. [sIGPIC]http://forums.eagle.ru/attachment.php?attachmentid=43337&d=1287169113[/sIGPIC]
Guest EVIL-SCOTSMAN Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 did anyone have this with there 45's when using the thumb rotary for pitch trim, now for example when takin off, and you have reset trim to centre. If when your rolling down the runway, and you give it a little touch of trim to help get airborne, now did your trim first make your nose go down, then it would suddenly rise after a slight adjustment to pitch trim. So basically your rolling, apply pitch trim to give you a little bit of lift, but instead of lift it would first make your nose dive then suddenly it would start to trim normally ? anyone get that ?
Guest ruggbutt Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 That's how the trim on an axis works, when I had my X45 that's how it was. I was using trim on my CH Throttle Quadrant (on an axis) and that was the case too. The game remembers where the axis was, kind like how if you pull your joystick back halfway there's always the same amount of deflection on the control surfaces. That's normal Scotsman. I've since changed to trim on my joystick coolie hat, which is how the real planes do it. It's not as accurate as on a rotator, but now that I'm used to it I don't miss the trim wheel.
Guest EVIL-SCOTSMAN Posted November 26, 2005 Posted November 26, 2005 Ah ok, thanks rugg, its just that I didnt know if it was normal or not, cuz my 45 died last week, and I wasnt sure if that was part of the dieing process. So it looks like the 52 that ive got ordered will probably be the same. the 45 died, cuz the wire that connects to the stick from the throttle was b0rked, any slight touch or movement to that wire, would mess with the calibration, and i ended up with max of 80-90% thrust and no AB, and also rudder deflection was messed bigtime. It was ok to start the game with, but if the wire was moved whatsoever in the game it would mess up bad.
