Hi All

My current HOTAS is in for repairs and I am using an old,old Saitek X36f HOTAS.

The problem is that the Saitek SST programming software is not compatible with this older stick and throttle, fair enough, it maps just fine within DS A10c.

However, I am looking for a way for me to assign my Rotaries on the Throttle to something else other than the generic "Axis Assignments" in the games controller options.

Is there a way to add in additional commands for a controllers Axis?

It's a long shot I know.

Thanks in advance.

Not from within the game, no. You would need to rely on SST (whether it provides such functionality i do not know) or write your own code.

Good, fast, cheap. Choose any two.

Thanks for confirming my doubts sobek.

No big deal, can live with it for a few days until I get back to normal.

Thanks again.

JujuMan, is it the older version of SST from 2005ish that you need? If so, I still have an old copy of the files, that I had to look high and low for, for the original X52.

AMD FX8350 @ 4.2Ghz x 8, Asus M5A99FX Pro UEFI Board, 16Gb RAM @1600Mhz, EVGA GTX660 2Gb DDR5, 120Gig Corsair SSD SATA3 Boot Drive, Dual Corsair SSD FORCE 60Gig for gaming, TM Warthog HOTAS and Cougars, Saitek Proflight Pedals, TrackIR 5 w/Pro Clip, and WAY Too much time on my hands. :pilotfly:

Unfortunately,it is not Windows 7 x64 friendly.

Im wondering if AutoHotkey might offer an alternative solution. I dont know if if anybody has tried mapping a rotary axis with AH.

Yep, didn't think about that, and I'm not sure it would work even if you ran it under XP mode, as that too would be 32bit. Sorry to hear your axis delimma, I went through that in the past when they didn't update SST for newer applications/systems for older peripherals. Thought I'd throw out that option just in case it could help.
