AI can not taxi properly on a busy airfield

Posted (edited)

Hey guys,

I created a test mission where I tried to simulate a very very very busy airfield...

So what I predicted happened - at SOME point the AI is gonna screw up and a taxi way is gonna get blocked.

Watch at around 150 seconds. You will see that that special group of A-10s has issues finding the right path... the 2nd plane just holds there blocking the rest of the aircrafts.

BEWARE - VERY LOW FRAME RATE when looking at the action!!! So just look somewhere where there is nothing going on and wait a bit...

EDIT: WHOOOPS GUYS, sorry WRONG TRACK!!!

EDIT2: Alright, proper track attached now! Sorry.

We don't mind an unresponded bug thread being bumped

Therefore - attention bump.

Also, I once put ONLY f16s on EVERY slot of an airfield. So it was really busy. They failed again, at a different position, but they failed. So yeh, the navigation needs a tiny bit of tweaking...

It also reveals some extra (minor) bugs.

- When the A-10's shine their nosewheel light on a bunch of the trees, these trees a lighted upon from the front while the A-10's nosewheel light shine on them from the back.

- Sound: If you use the flyby view on the first and second A-10 that take-off, their flyby sound is chopped by that of the nearby heli's.

Also, i got a headache looking from pilot view the first time i watched the track. So hectic... didn't you had a soar neck or so after making the track?

And... the runway is too short for the B1-B to take off propherly.

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

I think the sound issues is simply caused by the amount of sounds played at the same time. It's shit ton of planes playing multiple sounds each so I guess the sound system was overloaded.

@camera movement - I think I used the mouse there, not my headtracker. :p
