Megagoth1702 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Hey guys, following scenario, you got damaged (or a trigger caused the failure) and one of your MFCDs broke but NOTHING else. Should it still be possible to still switch the MFCDs with coolie hat down? All the manual says is: Swap The Swap function allows you to exchange the contents of the left and right MFCDs. When displays are swapped, however, the selected SOI will not change. To initiate a Swap, the user uses the SOI select Coolie Hat Down Short command. Thank you a lot in advance! Tone71 Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Yes, that should work. Not sure if all screens swap sides though; been a while since i flew the Hog! Skall Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 Also, if you are down to one MFCD and only want to have the more important sections (for example TAD, TGP, DSMS, and MAV) you can press and hold any of the bottom OSBs and a new page comes up with a list of all the available sections on the left and right OSB columns. Click on the section you want on the left or right column then click on the bottom section you want to replace. That section will be replaced with your selection. Click on any of the bottom OSBs to exit that screen and go back to one of the normal sections.
Megagoth1702 Posted November 18, 2012 Author Posted November 18, 2012 Thanks guys. Skall, I know that. I am asking this question because apparently there is a bug in the a-10. Once an MFCD is down you can not switch them anymore. Going to report now. BigfootMSR Posted November 18, 2012 Posted November 18, 2012 I don't believe that's a glitch. I believe that is how it actually works. If you you hold down one of the lower osb buttons on the good MFD for a second or two, it will bring up a screen that will allow you to select what screen you want to display. Click on the one you want and then the osb at the bottom that you want to assign it too. Then click your newly assigned mfd screen and your good to go. Megagoth1702 Posted November 18, 2012 Author Posted November 18, 2012 Thanks. :) Yeah seems like it's not a bug at all. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] System specs:2500k @ 4.6 GHz 8GB RAM HD7950 OC'd Win7 x64 Posting tracks to make your DCS better - attention bump incoming!
