Kuky Posted November 28, 2012 Author Posted November 28, 2012 So not one person has seen this? I tested with clean 1.2.2.7570 version without any modification and even in single screen setup I can still see this bug. aap_flanker Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Yep... Same here... I have seen it, but I don't care to much :p Ps: Hey kuky I've seen that you also has a intel-ati system, and would like to know if you also noticed a big performance hit when I'm looking very close the bushes on the ground (it kills my fps) tks in advance! Kuky Posted November 29, 2012 Author Posted November 29, 2012 (edited) ok, thanks for the replies, so this is really a bug even on normal 1 monitor setups... good to have it confirmed. aaap_flanker, I have a good CPU and video card and I am not seeing that bad hit with bushes on. I use 400m distance in my settings, 2 possible reason's you see big hit is Your video card is not top of the line so make sure you are don't use lot of AA in game settings (I find 4x to be enough, 8x really the most I would want to use) and in graphics driver make sure you are not using Super-sample AA as that kills it with lot of textures that have alpha channel to be see through in certain areas like bushes, trees etc. So try 4xAA in game and in Catalyst use Adaptive Multi-sample AA at most and see if that makes noticeable difference You can also do one simple tweak... use Notepad++ to edit DCS World/Bazar/Terrain/terrain.cfg.lua file... lines 83 and 87 increase squareSzie values from 20.0 and 10.0 to something like 50.0 and 20.0 respectively, that will make the grass little more spread out equally and will reduce amount of AA that has to be done on the grass textures as more of them will be further out from your viewpoint. Kuky Posted December 5, 2012 Author Posted December 5, 2012 I've reported this issue for ED to solve also... fingers crossed it doesn't take too long (as I know it's a minor issue but still an annoying graphical anomaly) PC specs: Windows 11 Home | Asus TUF Gaming B850-Plus WiFi | AMD Ryzen 7 9800X3D + LC 360 AIO | MSI RTX 5090 LC 360 AIO | 55" Samsung Odyssey Gen 2 | 64GB PC5-48000 DDR5 | 1TB M2 SSD for OS | 2TB M2 SSD for DCS | NZXT C1000 Gold ATX 3.1 1000W | TM Cougar Throttle, Floor Mounted MongoosT-50 Grip on TM Cougar board, MFG Crosswind, Track IR
