Although the most recent update (released sometime in the last 2 weeks) fixed the multiple crashes that I, and others, were experiencing using the mission editor, there are some new bugs and an old one that was never fixed.

I have created a mission where Russia is fighting the rest of the world. There are 3 farp's belonging to 3 different countries, each with 4 helicopters, on the blue team (all AI). When the 4 AI helicopters take off from their respective farp's, one of them then turns around and attacks their own farp will all their missiles. Then when they come into range of an allied farp they attack it, too, using all the missiles from another helicopter. I also have a Russian farp with 4 AI controlled ka-27's and the same thing happens; one of the ka-27's turns around and fires all its missiles at its own farp.

The old bug involves using Israeli ah-1 cobras. When the mission starts the 4 cobras are supposed to take off from their farp and fly to the target zone, but only 2 of them do. The other 2 stay at their farp, one hovering a few feet off the ground, the other idling on the ground.

Try placing some vehicles from the respective countries around the FARP if you havnt already. It might be an issue where when your taking the FARPs alignment is being set to something else thus creating a target.

I had already done that, as well as making sure the farps were assigned to the correct country.

I also notice that FARPs in a Su-25T campaign always pop up as an enemy target, even though they're assigned to the Russian side, appear red on the map, etc...

0) Do a quick search to see if the issue is already known and acknowledged

1) Upload relevant files (a mission and/or a track)

2) Give a description of the problem

3) Give precise steps to reproduce

4) If you have done the above steps and you feel your bug report on the forums still hasn't received proper attention, you could try sending a PM to an ED tester. Druid_, Grimes and I have been handling a lot of mission editor/AI issue reporting in the last few months, so for this type of issue, you could send a PM to one of us.

Intelligent discourse can only begin with the honest admission of your own fallibility.

Sorry, but I had already deleted the mission out of frustration, and recreated it with all helicopters starting in the air. I'll see if I can recreate the conditions in a new mission and post the results.

Can confirm the problem of Ka50 firing on own FARP, had reported it in the MIssion Editor faults forum under Rules of Engagement (ROE) issues.

Basically I think all of the ROE of settings are broken, if you use the weapons free, or open fire, weapons free options the ka50 will only attack its own farp or a nearby allied farp only, and do nothing else as programmed.

Will copy full description of problems and track to a PM to grimes or Druid as suggested.

Cheers, Ian

I recently created a new mission and had the same problem with allied Mi-28's. I had them fly 10 minutes to the enemy target zone before I set the ROE to weapons free. The Mi-28's ignored the enemy targets and instead they flew back to where the allied farp's are and attacked them...including the one that my flight was sitting on.

I will forward the track.

Not just limited to Red. I have a mission made where a pair of F-18s assigned to SEAD decided to attack a Blue FARP. The #2 guy was carrying AGM-65Es and he's the one who decided to shoot at the Blue FARP.

kh-65 bug

Since the last update, the kh-65 does not work. I have tried launching these from the Tu-160 and Tu-95 and they simply drop to the ground when launched. I have tried using the kh-65 against map objects, ships and ground units. The result is always the same; the missiles just crash when launched.
