Need help solving a strange problem

Hi all

 

I am having issues at the moment, I have just received my ATI Sapphire 7850 OC

 

My issue is I can run DCS for a while and then I hear a sound like my drivers or a usb device is resetting, my screens go black for 3 - 4 seconds and then everything carry's on as normal.

 

I run a 3 screen eyefinity setup

 

To troubleshoot . . .

 

I have done a fresh install of windows and updated

fresh install of DCS and updated

unplugged all of my devices apart from my keyboard and mouse.

 

I have tried various display drivers all with the same effect, now running catalyst 12.11

 

Initially I thought it was The Desktop Window Manager, but I disabled it and still has the same effect.

 

GPU or CPU is not getting hot

 

So far it only happens when using DCS

 

any help or pointers appreciated.

Card was dead this morning and has been RMA'd

 

just hope the replacement works lol

 

While the card was working I was getting anywhere from 35 - 100 fps so was happy with the performance :thumbup:
