I can surely recommended it, its got gazillions of tools, your own private ftp/mail server. The best is, the price, just USD$95 per year !!

One gets all the tools (many/most) other web hosting companies would charge extra for.

Of course I only tripped across your post a few days ago. Anyway...As part of looking into this as a possible move for my site which is bandwidth limited, I was reading ImHosted's "Acceptable Usage Policy / Terms of Service" policy and ran across this:

 

"Software Distribution

ImHosted.com's shared Web Hosting accounts are not to be used for the purposes of distributing software and multimedia products. If you wish to distribute software and/or multimedia files, please contact sales @ imhosted.com for special arrangement.

 

Multimedia Files

Multimedia files are defined as any graphics, audio, and video files. Imhosted.com Web Hosting accounts are not to be used for the purposes of distributing and storing unusual amount of multimedia files. Any Web site whose disk space usage for storing the multimedia files exceed 70% of its total usage, either in terms of total size or number of files, will be deemed to be using unusual amount of multimedia files."

There are no free services available, all of them offer a 'free' service so as to make you upload your stuff, then, as you already have a lot of it uploaded, links distributed around many forums, you exceed bandwidth and are invited to pay a yearly fee to continue to have access to your files.
