Updating and activations

I just finished downloading the new 1.2.2 exe & bins and read on the forum that to uninstall the old version first and not to worry about activation unless its the first time installing it.

 

Note: A new activation will not be required unless this is the first time you have installed the product.

I uninstalled the older version (already activated by the alternate method) and the new install went fine but when running BS2 it asked to be activated again!!!

 

I now have 1 less activation. Why state it WONT need to be activated again when it actual does?

How much activations do you have left? An activation was credited to all profiles to account for this loss which occurred previously. You perhaps have already been credited and have now utilised the extra activation.

Fortunately 9.

So the first time activated used 1 (duh) then activated again and was credited so I still have 9.

 

Will this credit happen each time I reinstall?

Then that is OK as you started with ten. You have accordingly only activated once if you ignore the credit.

 

Do not worry - will not happen again. Utilise the auto-updater for updates.

Got all :mad: for nothing then. Just used the auto update and it went fine.
