Udat Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Ok I grabbed the torrents for DCS world, A-10C, BS2, FC3 and CA. FC3 requires LOMAC to be installed, and BS2 requires BS to be installed in order to work. Problem is I just bought a new tower, and omitted the dvd player since I "never" use it anyway, and my LOMAC/BS copies are both DVDs. Any way to get all the updated sims installed without having to rebuild? Thanks in advance! EtherealN Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 BS download from the site will work with the serial number from your DVD, no problem there. With LOMAC it's a bit more complex since there is no serial number like that. HiJack Posted November 29, 2012 Posted November 29, 2012 Get a USB DvD drive and store it away when not needed.
Udat Posted November 30, 2012 Author Posted November 30, 2012 Thanks for that input guys. I went with an USB DVD drive. Just a quick follow-up if you dont mind; I noticed the DCS world torent was about 5gb size, while the others were only a few hundred megabytes. Is this because of the new module system? The modules contain just what is specific to that module (cockpit, flight models, missions etcetera). The rest is DCS World. That way you don't have to have tonnes of files duplicated across several game installs, saving you considerable hard drive space.
