I just upgraded to Black Shark 2 and cannot get the serial number to work. I copy and pasted it from the email I received after the purchase. I have the original Black Shark installed in the DCS World folder under it's own directory. Anyone have any ideas? I would email tech support but they have not responded to a week old request.

You have most likely installed the wrong version of the Black Shark 2 module. If you purchased the Upgrade license, you need to ensure that you are using the installer named "upgrade". You can double-check this through noting whether the installer file has "bs1update" in the file name. If it has the word "release" then it is the normal version and an upgrade version does not work for it.

Note also that the original black shark should not be installed inside the DCS World folder - it doesn't matter where it is installed, only that it is installed. The BS2 update installer checks for the BS1 installs existance only, it doesn't turn BS1 into BS2. After BS2 upgrade module install, BS1 can be uninstalled normally.

If you have indeed installed the wrong module, simply remove the .\DCS World\Mods\Ka-50\ folder and then install this: http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=13&end_pos=136&lang=en

As you can see, file name is: KA-50_bs1update_en_1.2.2.7570_69.exe
