KingKenny04 Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Having some issues with very BASIC things. I picked up DCS World and FC3 last night, finally got the chance to play today. Got everything set up on my joystick (Logitech Extreme 3d Pro), but can't fire missiles or guns? I understand it's more complicated than "push button, kill russian" but I can't seem to find any information specific to FC3. The A-10 and KA-50 guides all call for clicking switches in the cockpit, which I obviously can't do in the FC3 F-15C. Google has failed me for finding a guide, as has searching the forums. Short question: How do I kill things in FC3? EDIT: Also no training missions for FC3, training missions for SU-25T don't work (click 'start', nothing happens).
EtherealN Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 See section 14, "Weapons Delivery", in the FC3 manual. (Page 268.) You'll find the manual in the documentation subfolder of your DCS World start menu folder. In the case of the F-15C 1) Select appropriate mode, for example press (2) for BVR 2) Ensure your radar is on (I) 3) Slew designator to the desired target (keys probably N/A for you - I don't have an english keyboard so for me it is , . - and ö - then select with Enter key 4) When within launch paramenters (two lights on the canopy should light up), hold down weapon release key (Rctrl-Space I think) for one second. KingKenny04 Posted December 4, 2012 Author Posted December 4, 2012 (edited) Okay, so, I have no "Documentation" folder? Can't find any manuals in the main DCS folder EDIT: Okay for some stupid reason, the "Doc" folder was checked off as a hidden file, which is probably why it wasn't showing up. Thanks guys! 159th_Viper Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Okay, so, I have no "Documentation" folder? Can't find any manuals in the main DCS folder Doc folder in your main directory contains one manual. Your Mods/aircrafts/Flaming Cliffs folder will contain another Doc folder with another manual. EtherealN Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 What I meant was not the Doc folder in the hard drive folder. I meant: Click Windows Start orb/Start menu Select "all programs" Select DCS World (or Games, depending on where you placed it on install) Then select Documentation This folder will have links to all documentation for all modules. Yeah it was showing up empty until I unchecked the one in the hard drive as a hidden file.
EtherealN Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 Hm. Wow. That's peculiar indeed. maturin Posted December 4, 2012 Posted December 4, 2012 The proliferation of manuals gets more and more confusing as this game series goes on. Is there one single ED-run repository on the internet somewhere? If so, sticky than sonofabitch.
EtherealN Posted December 5, 2012 Posted December 5, 2012 maturin, you have all manuals for all your products in one location through the Start menu entry.
