TAD Black

So me and my friends all downloaded this today because of the Steam Sale, and we needed a new flight sim to keep us busy when we're not playing something else. Its a great game, we got into some A-10 v A-10 combat early while we were messing around, but we've all had the same problem, we can't get a map to load for the TAD. I've gone down tones of different Cold Start Procedures from video and manuals online, but get the same results, just a black screen with the way points on it, no map. I seemed to get it to work no problem in Single Player when I attempted it on a custom map, but Into the Weeds and CSAR Coop, we couldn't get it to come online. Any suggestions on something we're doing wrong? Or is it just a multiplayer glitch?

For some zoom levels in some areas there IS no map, so all you see is black. Try zooming out the map with DMS up/down.

 

Or then again - you might be not aligned or something. Try an air start/start on runway, not ramp. If there is no map there as well on ALL zoom levels, then there is a bug.

 

Also, since you got it on steam, make sure that you get DCS World 1.2.2 and the A-10 module 1.2.2. The steam version is the standalong and outdated. You can use the steam key to activate the downloaded A-10 module. Right click on the game in Steam and select "show key".

How exactly do I add the Module to the DCS world, can't seem to find anything other then buy....and that just brings me to the shop page.

There are small parts of the TAD map that are missing at higher zoom levels. Unfortunately the area around Tbilisi is one of them.
