when i lock onto a target with the TGP, everything is fine at a distance and i can find it easily like normal. however, as i approach the target, there comes a point where the target simply disappears and will not re-appear until i am far away again. it seems like it might be happening whenever the target goes behind the panel of my cockpit, so it is no longer visible by eye. however, it may simply be happening when i get within a certain distance. either way, i can no longer see my targets, and therefore can no longer engage anything

 

i have tried every combination from lowest to highest graphical setting, but nothing changes. game is patched, and i have done the near_clip=0.0 graphical fix as well

 

sorry if this has already been posted, i searched but didnt find anything like this

The enamy turns off his radar tracking in order to be less visable by your radar.

i only wish it were as simple as some enemy technology... the weird thing about it is that everything used to work just fine until steam updated my game files randomly one day and set them back to default (i had done the graphical fix for the near_clip thing) part of me wonders if i didn't do that graphical fix properly a second time, but the video for that glitch fix is no longer up.

not a total fix, but i was messing around with stuff and things are acting much better now

 

set all minimum parameters to 0:
