Things we don't need here

Recently I'm seeing posts that don't apply to what we're trying to accomplish here. The Devs read these forums and actually listen to us, but a minority are posting some really ignorant stuff.

We don't need: Posts that insult someones nationality. Alot of the guys here are from different countries than mine. And that fact is completely irrelevant when it comes to flying or interacting with them. The common thing is that we all speak the same language well enough to communicate. I tend to think of them as from Flaming Cliffsland. Half of my buddies here would require me to fly a dozen hours to visit them. Thankfully we have the internet so we can "visit" much easier.

We don't need: Posts that discuss war regarding to politics, at least any current conflicts. There are other boards for that, head over to A Complete Waste of Space if you wanna speak freely about anything. These are the LOMAC/FC boards. The only thing that comes from these kinds of posts are locked or hijacked threads. Stop it now!

We don't need: Replies to honest questions that are flip, or sarcastic. Stating the obvious is often an insult to the poster. And chances are that if a guy is wearing some kind of squadron tags, he's already tried the obvious. People who are committed enough to join a squadron aren't the casual flyer who doesn't know his way around (a least a little) this sim. It bothers me to no end to see squadron guys who provide servers for all of us to be disrespected in this manner. I don't mean to say that those that aren't in a squadron should be treated worse. I was just using a recent incident and the guy happened to fly with a team.

Ya'll have seen me go off half cocked here before, no one is perfect. But jeez!, I try to stay away from stuff that would keep the devs from reading what we have to say. I moderate several boards and once a thread goes stupid, I never visit it again. I've seen great threads started that have been hijacked (or locked) that should have gone the other way. And I almost forgot: Hell has not frozen over. Once in a while I can be serious. :D

I understand that this is at least in part aimed at me.

I will try to better myself, I wasn't aware that what I wrote was that offensive, I'm not making excuses as I should have known better.

Again, sorry.

Thanks for the apology. That takes a big man to do so. You just might be ok after all. ;)
