tucciotucci Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 Hi All, i ust bought DCS: Black Shark 2 Upgrade 1.2.2 (English Version) , is 267Mb, is too litle for a whole game :) Do i need only to install Bs1 before , and the install it over? thanks a lot Claudio :)
Nopileus Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 (edited) You need to first install DCS World, its the base for all current DCS products and includes all the terrain and 3d models. (its about 5gb in size i believe) The Black Shark module includes all the KA-50 specific code and cockpit you need to fly it. This way we don't have duplicates of most of the data if we own more than one DCS product. In your case you need BS1 installed -> install DCS World -> install BS2 upgrade and activate -> you are now free to uninstall BS1 Edited December 27, 2012 by Nopileus
tucciotucci Posted December 27, 2012 Author Posted December 27, 2012 Thanks a lot Nopileus!!! ;) ciao
tucciotucci Posted December 27, 2012 Author Posted December 27, 2012 ah..sorry another question related....your suggestion works also if i have already installed FC2 ?
Nopileus Posted December 27, 2012 Posted December 27, 2012 FC2 is a whole separate piece of software, as is BS1. Both will remain unaffected when you install DCS World.
tucciotucci Posted December 27, 2012 Author Posted December 27, 2012 :thumbup::thumbup::thumbup::thumbup: thanks again !
pierce Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 i have bs1 and now downloaded bs2 but were do i install bs2 , to what folder ? THANK YOU HELP NEEDED
Rongor Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 (edited) Probably in the folder that DCS World recommends. BS2 is a DCS World module. If you downloaded the standalone BS2 upgrade, install wherever you wish... Edited January 6, 2013 by Rongor
