The rudder allows you to turn left or right without rolling. Generally turning by rolling is preferred, but there are situations like a crosswind landing when you need to use rudder.

Elevators control pitch (up and down), and the Ailerons control the roll of your aircraft.

Nice thanks for the illustration Siskin! = D That's also called yaw left/right right? At least that's what I know from BF3 (altroug probably not so technical term as ruders, I believe)

Must be pretty wierd to control that with the feed, when you are used to A and D keys, haha

Why using the keyboard when your current joystick has a twist axis which can be used perfectly as rudder control (used to have an M$ Sidewinder myself with such a twisting stick).

Info from the Logitech website:

Twist control

You’re turning on a dime and zeroing in on targets—all with just a twist of the wrist to control the rudders.

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!

It was because of the Thrustmaster HOTAS WARTHOG joystick, which was "a nice to have", but was not properly supported by the game or the joystick was lacking the twist axis (Altrough I doubt so for its price) , that's why you'll b´need te pedals...

But I now MY joystick have the twist axis, and I am gonna configure it a soon as I dive deeper into the game, now I found out I can start and run it. Runs pretty smooth actualy, until you turn on that right screen, then the games sudddently starts to ag a bit =/ Is it possible to see the fp without fraps pehaps?

There's a difference between direction, and the control surface that controls the direction. A car has wheels which turn it (on the yaw axis), but we can't say wheels = yaw.

Elevators control pitch.

Ailerons control roll.

Rudders control yaw.

Go to settings and decrease the resolution of cockpit displays. That's the resolution of the mini screens in your aircraft.
