CmdrMoros Posted December 30, 2012 Posted December 30, 2012 Hello guys. I have started making some MP missions, watched a basic tutorial on YTube by Rainier. I cannot find anymore videos in Engrish :). My problem/questions are these. 1.Ok say I am adding an A-10, I give it a custom name place it and set it to CLIENT/Take off from Ramp. 2.When I try to add more planes to this I do not get the option to add them as CLIENT... the want to stay as AI and this is getting very frustrating for me. SO...the only thing I have been able to do is add single aircraft and make LOTS AND LOTS of way points for each one. I have looked in the user manual, and searched on these forums for an answer but have not found anything yet. If somone could help me I would be indebted. Thank you so much in advance. :pilotfly::pilotfly::pilotfly:
CmdrMoros Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 I put this in the wrong forum, sorry ;)
Revelation Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Cmdr, are you watching the videos by jrainier? Finally, you can select the unit you then press Ctrl+c and Ctrl+v to copy and paste. You may need to play with the selection for client a few times before it sticks. Win 10 Pro 64Bit | 49" UWHD AOC 5120x1440p | AMD 5900x | 64Gb DDR4 | RX 6900XT
CmdrMoros Posted December 31, 2012 Author Posted December 31, 2012 Yes, actually somone from the missions corner helped me out with that. Thanks ;)
Revelation Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 No problem, glad you got it sorted. Jrainier78 is my YouTube channel. If there's anything specific let me know I can always make more videos. I stopped doing them when I was in Afghanistan for a year and I simply haven't started back up since I got back. gofrm76 Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 (edited) But if I do it this way, I still have multiple flights with multiple callsigns and if I want to change a waypoint or weapon loadout later on, I have to do this multiple times. Why isn't it possible to simple have one n-Ship flight (n being 1,2,3 or 4) where every machine can be manned by a human pilot or by the AI if no human pilot is available (the BMS way)? Additionally it would be nice to have the possibility to quickly change the # of machines of a flight in the briefing or in the lobby without having to edit the mission. This way one could quickly tweak a mission depending on the # of available human pilots. Revelation Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 Gofrm76 what you are asking for us currently a limitation in the code of LockOn/DCS in a multiplayer environment. ED has stated a fix is on the to-do list but it is not important at this time. My guess is it will be fixed shortly before we get a dynamic campaign. BigfootMSR Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 It is currently not possible to have multiple client air craft as a single flight aka wingmen. You can only assign NPC as wingmen to a specific flight. It is possible via the SADL and data links for multiple clients to become and act as a single flight.
