Turtle47 Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I bought a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro for $38. It works for me for now, but I can see that I want the $400 Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog stick and throttle in the near future. Loki_ Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 that logi x3d pro is a good stick for the money. you may have sensitivity issues with it once the innards start wearing out, but you can buff most of that out with deadband and sensitivity settings. Good choice.

Good choice. Just open her up and clean the pots (take them out and give them a good twist). Fixes most problems with this stick. Been keeping mine going as a backup for years. NullSpace Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 I'd also put in a word for the Cyborg X / Cyborg FLY 5. I just upgraded from that to an X52, the Fly 5 has served me decently for a few years doing civillian sims, and recently DCS A-10. It's not a fantastic stick, but it's cheap, fairly portable (if that's something you want), and apart from my twist axis dying after a while, served me quite well. The fact that it's got two built in throttles is nice to have as well. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
TonyStovepipe Posted December 31, 2012 Posted December 31, 2012 (edited) When I asked that question not long ago on the rise of flight forums most people said the thrustmaster t16000m. On the outside it don't look that nice and looks boring, but on the inside is it has them hall sensors like the x52 joystick. It's very nice and easy to use. the button are okish but never had a problem with them and you get 6 on each side + the others on the stick :) I could of got the x52 brand new cheap but because the t16000m is good anyways I did not feel the need to pay extra. But the x52 throttle would of been nice :) Edited December 31, 2012 by gothicghost
