olemetry Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 I have a topic in Input/Output that is getting little attention, so I figured I would ask here since I have done more homework. I am just getting back in to DCS (from pre-World days). I used to load JackBauer pr0 file and JackBauer lua file in the game, and all would be good - but not so in World. I could not return the controls to default so I have already uninstalled and reinstalled World twice. So my questions is, does anyone use pre-made input profiles for World? Is everyone really making their own, with either profiler or in game? Even if I have to set up axis, it would be nice to have the buttons pre-programmed. Thanks for any help!!
starsky396 Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 Yea, I have one that I use to use. I got a TM warhog and saitek combat rudder pedals so I don't need it, but here 1st profile I have used; http://www.mediafire.com/?fgk9kkufukdxufy 2nd profile I have used; http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?2df1o58gjp60dgt 3rd profile I have used; http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?aogll3bzj21votx By the way I use button 6 (The button on the bottom of the part of the stick were your hand is.) as the modifier.
olemetry Posted January 4, 2013 Author Posted January 4, 2013 Ok Great. So I have a brand new install I know this sounds dumb, but exactly how do get them working. they look like lua files, so I take it that I dont load anything in the X52 profiler in windows, enter the game, go to options>controls, click a box under X52 column, then load the lua profile? Save and enter game? Anything else? Anything different?
starsky396 Posted January 4, 2013 Posted January 4, 2013 What I do is 1. Load up DCS World 2. Select options 3. Go to the controls tab 4. Click on any box in on the screen. 5. Click on load profile. 6. Navigate your way to wherever you put the files I gave you. 7. Check the controls and memorize them. 8. Load up any mission and play. Also on your computer go to the devices and profiles application here; Control Panel\Hardware and Sound\Devices and Printers and right click on your saitek controller and go to the games and controllers application. Then Look at each of the tabs and find something that says something about a clutch button, then click on it and make sure there is a check in that box. Lastly do not close the application that you used to check the box. Hope that helped!
olemetry Posted January 4, 2013 Author Posted January 4, 2013 i have an "enable clutch mode" already checked, and i have a "latched clutch button" that is unchecked. which ones need a check? and just to learn, what the heck is a controller clutch?
Stonehouse Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 The Jack Bauer profile still works - I use it. If you are getting indications of invalid control mappings it's because you need to add an entry under modifiers in DCS for the A10C sim set up so that the combination stuff like pinkie + left hat up works.
