HOKUM52 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Hi x52pro problem again. one of these days i will torch it Ive given up trying to install the software i just have the latest drivers on. As a result it works fine!! I program it in game and i can fly fine no problems whatsoever, all happy and dandy. When ive finished i unplug the stick, still no problems. Only then when i go to shut down my computer it takes a while to log off, then switches to saying shutting down and this goes on forever and i always have to hold the boot switch to shut it off. whats weird is if i turn the computer and dont plug the stick in then use it for whatever, then turn it off its fine. basically only when i use the stick this problem happens but if i dont you wouldnt even know there was a problem. any ideas please, i dont want to have to force a reboot everytime i use the stick.
Devrim Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Latest drivers? When?... To me, you should write Saitek's forum for this. I sure there're another people who suffer from same problem. Saitek's software is really full of bug... HOKUM52 Posted January 5, 2013 Author Posted January 5, 2013 the latest drivers from the saitek site. I havent the software installed and i dont intend to.
Devrim Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Then, there's only one thing that I advice you; check your motherboard drivers. If available, update it. I had similar many problems with Saitek X52 Pro. I had headache for a few months. Then I woke up and updated motherboard. All problems are gone!. The LT Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 I had a problem with installing the software as well, I just went ahead and reinstalled Windows and it all went smoothly afterwards. I know it's a terrible solution but I don't use my PC for much else. I believe you need to closely follow instructions when installing the software, you can't really load .pr0 profiles if you don't install the profiler. And you kinda need them to map all the buttons and use shift-states, as there is simply not enough switches on the X25 Pro to cover the HOTAS functions like the lack of DMS and CMS switches and the China Hat switch. You might want to clear the Saitek registry entries and reinstalling the driver first and the software second. It has also been suggested that you install the driver first WITHOUT plugging the joystick into the USB port, wait for the driver to prompt you to do it. Just my 5c as I ran into a similar problem. thereminqblank Posted January 6, 2013 Posted January 6, 2013 Are you trying to plug the stick into a USB3.0 port? I recently upgraded to a MB with USB3.0 ports, was trying to use that for the X-52 and was having major issues 1) installing the drivers (installation would crash) and 2) plugging the stick into a USB3.0 port would cause the exact same issue as your having. Used a USB2.0 port instead and voila! "Unholy Roller" [sIGPIC]http://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/images/userbars/A-10C_UserBar_01.gif[/sIGPIC]
