can some please explain how I get a group to appear and start moving in laymens terms when another unit is destroyed

 

I guess an example mission would be good

Place the unit, that you want to activate, and set it "Late activation".

Set a trigger, type once, condition "unit xy dead", action "group activate"

 

You can set up waypoints for the group you want to activate, they will go their waypoint route as soon as they are activated.

 

One thing, the group will be there from the beginning, but sort of invisible. For example if you set a tank on a road, on late activation, and want another vehicle drive down the road, it will drive around the tank, even if it is not activated and therefor not visible

1 once trigger name event no event

condition group dead (x)

Action group activate (z)

 

x os the destroyed group

z is the new group that should appear on of group x
