Dripc Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 Hi Is there any way to disable tracks in Saved Games? Because i found out that have more than 2gb tracks in folder!!! And i dont fly so often...can't imagine how much disk space are using some other players :music_whistling: I didnt find any "tick" in Options to disable this :helpsmilie: I hope someone have solution for this because this is resource eater for my "MACHINE"
cichlidfan Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 There is no tick box because you have to specifically tell the sim to save the track when you exit a mission. If you do not click the save track button, and click the OK buton after that, nothing will be saved. Apparently, you have been clicking this button a lot. cichlidfan Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 MP may be different. I don't recall how track saving works in that situation. Grimes Posted January 17, 2013 Posted January 17, 2013 MP does it automatically and I think the saved games folder is somewhat protected from automatically deleting stuff of a certain age in it. Tracks from a crash are hit and miss. I'm not sure if it saves the track as you play or if it creates it once you exit the mission. 1 The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Dripc Posted January 17, 2013 Author Posted January 17, 2013 Thank you for explanation.Does this mean that we must manualy delete those tracks from folder? I hoped that this could be disabled on user side. So that we save space and resources.I looked in config file and I didnt find anything related to the saves...
Grimes Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 You have to do it manually. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. Madone Posted January 18, 2013 Posted January 18, 2013 There's a Userfiles.lua in the Script folder, though it's only to change the default location of the tracks. 2GB is a LOT but possible if you played long multiplayer mission, as Grimes said, delete manually from time to time.
