oceanoftimeGER Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Hi everyone, A couple of days ago I purchased myself a Razer Nostromo to use as an 'alternative throttle' for DCS. Basically, a keypad that I can configure for DCS that is easy to use without taking my eyes off the screen. I am really liking it so far but I've run across an issue. I am interested in binding the NV gain to the scroll wheel that is built into the Nostromo. If I bind '=' to gain up and '-' to gain down, the bind will function in the controls menu if I hit the key (it will highlight the correct bind). But as soon as I'm in-game the bind is no longer active and the scroll wheel does nothing. DCS also detects the Razer Nostromo as a device, unfortunately it does not recognize the scroll wheel when attempting to bind. My friend told me it may be related to fact that it's technically classified as a mouse wheel and the issue may be rectified with use of a program like AutoHotKey. Does anyone have a way to get this to work? Any input would be appreciated!
agrasyuk Posted January 23, 2013 Posted January 23, 2013 Nostromo has 3 "color" modes. I assume you were on right one and confirmed it sends the keystroke into notepad or such. When I tried nostromo I discovered DCS is somewhat finniky about macros sent from devices (and from auto hot key for that matter). Try assigning a macro with explicit keyDown, wait delay (20-30milisec is usually enough) and keyUp statements. Anton. My pit build thread . Simple and cheap UFC project
oceanoftimeGER Posted January 23, 2013 Author Posted January 23, 2013 Thank you very much! Even 15ms seems to work fine! I didn't think it would be this simple
