atoll1 Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 Is there a converter / way to convert .mis to .miz? been searching and can't seem to find a way...
Ebs Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 .miz is a regular zip file. not familiar with .mis but rename it to .zip and give it a try. it can't hurt! Check out my guide to JSGME for DCS World.
Grimes Posted February 5, 2013 Posted February 5, 2013 The mission formats have changed so much since LockOn 1.12. If there was a way to open up the old .mis files in a text editor, it might work. But I seriously doubt the formats are similar enough that its worth the time converting missions from LockOn 1.12 to the DCS World .miz format. It would be easier to just re-create the mission in the new editor. The right man in the wrong place makes all the difference in the world. No documentation exists apart from the source code, which was abandoned long ago. Moreover, unit capabilities and AI logic changed so much, that even if such converter could exist, its usefulness would be under question. So: It would be easier to just re-create the mission in the new editor. Dmitry S. Baikov @ Eagle Dynamics LockOn FC2 Soundtrack Remastered out NOW everywhere - https://band.link/LockOnFC2.

I just miss some of the .mis single player missions and wish to have the newer graphic capabilities of fc3 with those missions (that and having to keep inserting the original fc dvd)...one can long...:smilewink:
