IonicRipper Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Most of the time, the game runs within 35 to 65 fps but sometimes it will fall in the 20's and even lower when there is a lot of explosions going on near me. I'm guessing its caused by the particle effects which I was surprised to see there were no options for in the settings. Is there any other way to lower the particles effect in the game? i5 4590 @ 3.77GHz | GTX 1060 6GB | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | 1TB HDD+500GB HDD | Win10 Home X64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Blooze Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 Try going here C:\DCS World\Bazar\Effects\expl\boom1.lua. Look for the line..NumParticles. I have changed that number from 400 to 100 and I've seen good results. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]

IonicRipper Posted February 10, 2013 Author Posted February 10, 2013 (edited) No luck. I was actually having some massive FPS drops in the "Attack Insurgents" instant action mission. I wonder what is causing this... Edited February 10, 2013 by IonicRipper i5 4590 @ 3.77GHz | GTX 1060 6GB | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | 1TB HDD+500GB HDD | Win10 Home X64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
tute Posted February 10, 2013 Posted February 10, 2013 And ED is focused in fixing MP... I think they should make the game playable first...
IonicRipper Posted February 10, 2013 Author Posted February 10, 2013 Ahh ok i found the problem. Nothing to do with particles or explosions... I had civ. traffic on high which I guess put a lot of stress on my CPU. tute, what is your comp specs and game's video settings? i5 4590 @ 3.77GHz | GTX 1060 6GB | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | 1TB HDD+500GB HDD | Win10 Home X64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
