FireWolf Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Hey Guys, I have been searching through the forums looking for a great setup tutorial for my X52 system. Any hints or suggestions as to where I could get it set up great, once and for all? Any help would be greatly appreciated. I just got DCS A-10C and am in training. Hunter192 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Hey. I'm also new to the sim with an x52. I found a great profile on here for the x52 ill try and find it. Feel free to give me a shout if you want to fly. I'm available most weekdays from 8am-4pm GMT 1 I don't know who you are, and I don't know what you want. But I will find you, and I will kill you. :pilotfly:
FireWolf Posted February 11, 2013 Author Posted February 11, 2013 Hey Hunter, Thanks for the quick reply bruh! I would definitley appreciate it. I am just now learning the cold start and have a ways to go before I fly with anyone. I don't want to screw up, but when I get there, I will definitely go up with you! Thanks man! Hunter192 Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 Found the profile bro. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=58484&highlight=X52 Instructions on how to install, it's really easy. I've just managed to master the startup and now I've got TrackIR and my x52 I've been flying around with them. I still need to learn how to navigate, lock on and fire rockets etc all I know now is using the cannon! All this DMS TMS China Hat etc makes no sense to me yet lol. Are you online now? I don't know who you are, and I don't know what you want. But I will find you, and I will kill you. :pilotfly:
FireWolf Posted February 11, 2013 Author Posted February 11, 2013 Hey Hunter, Thanks man, I really appreciate it! I will grab that and get it all setup. I'm online for the forum but not in the sim. Some of the acronyms make sense to me, I was a Firefighter in the U.S Air Force for 8 years. So I know what they mean, just not really how to use them. =) I damn sure know how to shut an A-10 down, but that doesn't really help me now. Britchot Posted February 11, 2013 Posted February 11, 2013 I had an X52 and found it easier to take someone else's profile and tweak it to my preferences, so you may want to get in there and make it to how you want to fly. I sat next to my friend who had a TM Warthog and went through the actual HOTAS assignments and did my best to mirror these on the X52. Like I said, make it to your needs if you can. 1 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] CPU - Intel 8088 @ 4.77 MHz; Memory - 128KB; 360KB double-sided 5 1/4" full-height floppy disk drive; 10MB Seagate ST-412 hard drive JG-1 MiG-21bis Checklist

Boelie Posted February 12, 2013 Posted February 12, 2013 If you want a sst profile that is ready to go, without TrackIR, and including a .doc with all the most prominent functions. PM me, I can send it to your mail. 1
StrongHarm Posted February 13, 2013 Posted February 13, 2013 You might give my profile a try. I spent a lot of time researching the best layout, and I've been flying since beta, so I was familiar with order of importance, etc. This is for the x52'pro', but if you look down the thread there's a post about how to convert it to straight X52. Here's a pic: 1 It's a good thing that this is Early Access and we've all volunteered to help test and enhance this work in progress... despite the frustrations inherent in the task with even the simplest of software... otherwise people might not understand that this incredibly complex unfinished module is unfinished. /light-hearted sarcasm

HIGHLY recommend this one. One important step that you need to do is you have to go into options in DCS W (single player), go to A10C sim and add Joystick6 as a modifier (there's a modifier button on the bottom left of the controls list) otherwise it won't work (and you'll get red bars on the controls list). I think there's also a requirement to remap A and S or B and N but I've forgotten. Bexx0r Posted February 14, 2013 Posted February 14, 2013 [...]I think there's also a requirement to remap A and S or B and N but I've forgotten. For SFJackBauer's profile, you need to remap keys "B" and "N" for the air brakes on the throttle-mini-slider. Important: If you used the air brakes, always put the slider back to the middle position. Otherwise, it continuously sends key signals of either "B" or "N", which could lead to freezes or CTDs. Cheers Bexx0r .........................................................
