Zeke Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 After my last project I've been scanning the boards for ideas on building a UFC using the groovey game board GP Wiz 40 and some 12mm tactile switches. I already have a panel using the GP Wiz board in A10. Is anyone running multiple GP Wiz 40 boards in A10? If so, any problems? Also, I'm going to buy a bunch of 12mm tactile switches for my next project and was wondering if anyone has used them with the GP Wiz 40, if so, which polls did you use for the ground and which for the GP Wiz plug in? Thanks for your help
agrasyuk Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 Yes, I used 4 gpwiz controllers successfully . ordered them with 4 unique ids: Dev1 through 4. Recognized as 4 separate devices and never any issues. I'm not sure about your other question, what is polls? Care to rephrase perhaps? Anton. My pit build thread . Simple and cheap UFC project
Zeke Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 Thanks for the answer, that's what I was thinking on the GGG website, when you order them you get to choose the ID. Now I can go ahead and order another. By Polls I meant the metal connectors on the switches. There are 4 of them. I'm just getting into this stuff, so I may sound a little off sometimes. :)
agrasyuk Posted February 19, 2013 Posted February 19, 2013 OK. There are 4 contacts but they are paired so there really only 2 to find which ones are pair use a multimeter (they are not to expensive and very usefull for this gobby). I never seem to remember which one is which and it is a good idea to make sure anyways. Once you figure out one of them to ground and one to contact of your choice on gpwiz. Good luck and make sure to show off your work. Anton. My pit build thread . Simple and cheap UFC project
Zeke Posted February 19, 2013 Author Posted February 19, 2013 Thanks for the help. I think I have a multimeter around here somewhere, just need to find it. I'll post a thread once I get it done. Should be fairly inexpensive too, right now clocking in at around $60. Just need to build a case, that will add some $.
