jime Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 I can't get A-10C to work with my joystick plugged in. Joystick is a Thrustmaster Top Gun Afterburner Force Feedback. I've double-checlked drivers for it and I have no problems using it in FSX or Rise of Flight, I just can't use it in DCS. I can run the A-10C with it unplugged but using a keyboard takes all the fun out of the sim. Any ideas would be appreciated. Thanks, Jim E.
jime Posted February 24, 2013 Author Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) The sim does start but if I hit the control tab in options, I immediately get the dreaded not responding screen, or if I try to start a quick mission or even training it does the same thing. :joystick: If I unplug the stick everything works perfectly. I'm baffled as to why. I've been searching the forum here looking for a possible answer. No luck yet. When I hit the control tab I can see it has a tab for HOTAS but it immediately crashes. Sorta sux it's not working because the sim looks great.:( Running Windows 7 64 bit JimE Edited February 24, 2013 by jime
jime Posted February 24, 2013 Author Posted February 24, 2013 (edited) I downloaded that program DXTweak I found here on the forums and as soon as it starts, I get the stop responding screen. I notice in my control panel under sound/game controller that the joystick isn't listed or a game controller icon in the control panel screen but yet I can calibrate it and use it in other games with no problems. Strange indeed. JimE Edit: Disregard post. I found the location of controller. I'm still unable to use the sim with it plugged in. Edited February 25, 2013 by jime
