StrikeMax Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 Since you have the template with dimension ratios to scale, your best source for high details is lomac itself. jump into a flanker cockpit. choose the view, zoom in, and screenshot. Start filling the blanks with those hi res shots for individual guages. that would be the basis of your project. with permission from ED ;) NB If its a 3d virtual cockpit you are modeling, Please let me know when you are done. I have a beautiful external model to fit with (still in progress you can see it here:https://www.sharemation.com/strikemax/public/pics/wip-19102005-closeup-text-j.jpg?uniq=-k220ea)
Guest IguanaKing Posted December 4, 2005 Posted December 4, 2005 I did , but i am looking for more detailed drawings or pictures Thanks anyway Glad to hear it...it tried to send me a trojan when I looked at the photos, so I figured I'd post a warning about that. :D Why do you need more detailed drawings/pictures? The ones you've got look like all you need to complete your project. Is it because those pics aren't a high enough resolution to let you read all the placards and labels? What material are you using for the panel? Are you going to get fancy and use Aluminum? Heh...the reason I ask is because I have experience with building instrument panels for real aircraft. Aluminum is great to work with and reasonably priced...that is...as long as you have the right tools. ;) I might be able to help you with hi-res photos of some of the instruments...I work on a few L-39s that share some of the same basic steam gauges.

When i enlarge the pic's i have, you cannot read the dials and text my intension was to print them on selfadhesive vinyl with a proffesionel large inkjet printer (width 160 cm), and then apply them to the cockpit walls. As Strikeman points out to use Lockon screenshots, that maybe possible to do. I know if you have Loman you can extract some panels and instruments too.
