It's been a few months since I had installed DCS World for the 1st time, so, when I decided to revert back to Win7 and installed 1.2.3 from scratch yesterday, I was presented in thi initial menu with a few "ticked" options and an "unticked" one:

- Install DriectX January 2010

I ticked it and proceeded with the install.

Near the end I got a report that the version of VC++2010 in my system was more recent and so the installer didn't install it's own runtime, and that was all.

Question is: What does the option "Install DirectX Jan 2010" impact on my Win7 64 bit install. Should I have not chosen it (it was not selected by default)?

Thx in advance for any help

If i'm correct, DirectX will only install "newer" files and leave the rest alone so nothing to worry about.

Win11 Pro 64-bit, Ryzen 5800X3D, Corsair H115i, Gigabyte X570S UD, EVGA 3080Ti XC3 Ultra 12GB, 64 GB DDR4 G.Skill 3600. Monitors: LG 27GL850-B27 2560x1440 + Samsung SyncMaster 2443 1920x1200, HOTAS: Warthog with Virpil WarBRD base, MFG Crosswind pedals, TrackIR4, Rift-S, Elgato Streamdeck XL.

Personal Wish List: A6 Intruder, Vietnam theater, decent ATC module, better VR performance!
