G-Lock91 Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 I've just started to fly the F15, wondering how I can increase the distance of the label. I usually start to see it around 10nm but there is a nasty Russian missile headed for my face before I see em. Anyway I can change that so instead of 10nm the label will show up around 20-30? Looked around here for a thread but couldn't find specific to this.. Thanks! PS: I'll turn labels off once I get that bloody radar down! Don't judge me :) [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] "If they can make penicillin out of moldy bread, they can certainly make something out of you" -Muhammad Ali WIN 7 64-bit SP1 | AMD Phenom II X4 955 | 8.0 GB RAM | NVidia GeForce GTX 550Ti | CH Pro Throttle | CH Fighterstick | CH Pro Pedals | TrackIR5
IonicRipper Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 You can change the label values in Eagle Dynamics\DCS World\Config\View i5 4590 @ 3.77GHz | GTX 1060 6GB | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | 1TB HDD+500GB HDD | Win10 Home X64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
G-Lock91 Posted March 4, 2013 Author Posted March 4, 2013 What should I change the value to? IonicRipper Posted March 4, 2013 Posted March 4, 2013 Apparently it might have to do with graphic settings after all. Quote from the Labels.lua file: -- Label max distance depends on graphics visibility range option value -- For low E40000.0 m -- For medium E50000.0 m -- For high E80000.0 m So setting visibility range to high will show labels up to 80KMs. Other then that, I don't know. 1 i5 4590 @ 3.77GHz | GTX 1060 6GB | 16GB 1600MHz DDR3 | 1TB HDD+500GB HDD | Win10 Home X64 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Tone71 Posted March 7, 2013 Posted March 7, 2013 You'll want to change this section of the Labels.lua file: WeaponFormat = {} WeaponFormat[5000] = "[%N%n%D" WeaponFormat[10000] = "|%n%D" WeaponFormat[20000] = "|" By default the labels appear at 20km. If you have your distances in nm you should know that there are 1852m to 1nm.
