Evil.Bonsai Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 (edited) Waypoint hold missing? Under advanced wp options, there is no longer a 'hold' option. What happened to it? NM; think I have it confused with orbit/hold w/stop flag. Edited March 8, 2013 by Evil.Bonsai
Quirkitized Posted March 8, 2013 Posted March 8, 2013 What units are you trying to use it for? It works for ground units only. For aircraft and helicopters, use an orbit.
Evil.Bonsai Posted March 13, 2013 Author Posted March 13, 2013 I was thinking specifically aircraft/helis. Where the heli/plane would 'hold' at a wp, then move to next once a flag is triggered. I know planes will orbit, but I've seen helis just stop, hover and wait (Hideout mission as example, or carbon blade where heli stops and hovers until AAA is destroyed then continues on to next wp).
Bahger Posted March 13, 2013 Posted March 13, 2013 I've read that you can get helos to hover by settinng "orbit" at very low speeds but I haven't yet seen it work. And it would look dopey if the helicopted went round and round very slowly.
Adi Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 How did you make the helicopter continue along its waypoints after the orbit command?
Quirkitized Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 Stop condition, USER = # # is flag number So lets say you have a helicopter orbit at speed 0 so it hovers, it will stay that way until a condition is met that you specify. Say a group dies, when that group dies you have set flag 2 on. So then you would do Select your orbit under advance waypoint stop condition user = 2 this means it will stop hovering when flag 2 is on and continue to next waypoint. 1
