Yellonet Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 This is a sure fire way of crashing LockOn while in the editor. At least on my PC. Start the editor, choose coalitions, select ground vehicle and make the first waypoint "on road" add another waypoint, now drag the second waypoint around a bit and the program will continuosly calculate how to follow the road, after a few seconds of "dragging about" the game crashes. i7-2600k@4GHz, 8GB, R9 280X 3GB, SSD, HOTAS WH, Pro Flight Combat Pedals, TIR5
Yellonet Posted December 6, 2005 Author Posted December 6, 2005 Then don't do that. Thanks a lot... Personally I think that you should be able to edit the waypoints position without crashing the game. i7-2600k@4GHz, 8GB, R9 280X 3GB, SSD, HOTAS WH, Pro Flight Combat Pedals, TIR5
Weta43 Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 How much dragging are we talking? Doesn't crash when I do it - but I'm dragging points around a reasonable amount - till I think it's in the right place Then hitting fly to see if it works how I though it would & then moving it again. I don't drag it around all over the map 'cause I've never realy had a need. I agree you should be able to drag it enough for it to be a functioning feature, but as I said - how much dragging are we talking? Cheers.
S77th-GOYA Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 What you describe doesn't sound like editing WPs. It sounds like trying to make the editor crash. Maybe it's just the way you described it. But, it is known that ground units do cause a strain on the editor at times.
bSr.LCsta Posted December 6, 2005 Posted December 6, 2005 this sounds like a computer problem. I have "dragged" wp's across the crimea through all the major cities, and never had this happen. is this ok?
Brit_Radar_Dude Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Yep what LOC said. I've messed with ground units all over the place and never had a crash due to that. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Sorry Death, you lose! It was Professor Plum....

But, it is known that ground units do cause a strain on the editor at times.I wasn't trying to crash the editor when I found the problem, but after that I did it to see if I wasn't just that one time. I'm just trying to point out the problem so that it can be fixed. But as the others have said, it might just be my computer :( Edit: I just tried it and it didn't crash the game. Must have been some special circumstances that made it crash before.. because I could get it to crash consistently. i7-2600k@4GHz, 8GB, R9 280X 3GB, SSD, HOTAS WH, Pro Flight Combat Pedals, TIR5
