win7 and warthog install question

so i am in the process of a new win 7 install and have a question for the warthog/mfd owners:

 

1. Do i have to install the TM drivers for warthog or just plug the USB in?
   
2. So i have to install drivers for hte MFD or just plug them in?
   
3. Do i need to install TARGET? Any downside if i do not?? I never used it before the install and have all my mappings in game.

Plug it in and see how you go, no harm done if it comes up as an unknown device. Otherwise install the drivers and you are good to go.

 

TARGET is not needed unless you want to tweak things and scripts macro's etc

 

 

edit: DCS by default maps all of the buttons to the warthog correctly, so no need to do any setup there. (except for the trim hat on the stick, thats mapped to views by default unless you have a trackir)

Target does update the bios in both controllers.

 

Even if you dont use it for anything else, I recommend checking if you're up to date.
