Fish6891 Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Do certain graphics settings affect how difficult it is to actually SEE enemy planes that are WVR I find complex WVR fights exceptionally difficult because other aircraft are so hard to see, you really have to look HARD in order to see them, and in a heated battle you really have no time to be searching so hard. I find that if I zoom all the way in, I can see them as dots when they just come within visual range, then once they get closer, at a certain point they actually become more difficult to see, unless they're right in ur face.
Gazehound Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 Turn off/down your antialiasing. Also its a knack if you are looking around you for them and glancing back at your instruments - you will develop a sense of where they will likely be and you will spot them around that area. Its experience I suppose. VVS504 Red Hammers
S77th-konkussion Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 FWIW there seems to be a major blind spot since 1.1.. You can see them a good bit away (a dot), and up close- but I watch planes disappear at moderate distances.. I think it was better in 1.02 or more consistent.. Pilotasso Posted December 7, 2005 Posted December 7, 2005 It was more consitent because of the less efective game LOD system. .
