Grimes Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 Its a mixed bag really. Usually when a new module comes out there is a burst of content for that module. Depending on the interest and flexibility of the module that burst while vary in length. So the A-10C saw a lot of missions made around the time it came out and the year or so after that, but the pure quantity of missions being released for it has leveled off substantially. Yes there is some "not sharing missions" going on, but not more than what is usual. Follow mwd2's link and just search for missions on that page. The module specific threads for missions were created fairly recently and a very small fraction of total missions have been linked to those threads. So unfortunately there is simply a lot of missions out there that were attached to forum threads but nowhere else and you have to exhaustively search that section. luza Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 The main sticking point is that it takes A LOT of time to develop a good mission. Some squadrons also wish to keep their missions "in-house", which I personally believe they are entitled to. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
Ranger79 Posted March 24, 2013 Posted March 24, 2013 I believe some are frustrated due to changes in patches which can kill some missions. dooom Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 meh - it's just the triggers Grimes. I have a rather large set of missions i started making back when BS1 came out and just have to book in the time to fix them is all i am saying... Its merely a motivation issue at this point. I imagine i'll get around to them someday but i'd rather just author new ones like svan song and longstraw instead of having to reverse engineer old ones. I'm just suggesting there would probably be more available missions if designers didnt have to return to previous labors of love to fix them. galevsky06 Posted March 25, 2013 Posted March 25, 2013 You can build your own very easily, just learn how to use the mission editor, your DCS sky will be open forever. Can't wait for others to develop' your MP missions: scenario, flyable aircrafts, weather.... it is up to you, dude, we can't do the mission for you. But we can help for ME issues ;)
ThePackrat Posted March 26, 2013 Posted March 26, 2013 I am working on a large MP mission at the moment, for up to 5 players! 4 pilots, and 1 JTAC :) You will be able to choose if you want to fly the Su-25T, A-10C, or the Ka-50. Fly with some friends or alone, but it is HIGHLY recommended to bring some friends along for the ride! I am trying to incorporate some dynamic elements into the mission, like slightly different things happening depending on what you choose to fly, and how well you perform the mission. Some suprises are in store too! Still in the early stages and needs a lot of testing before it's ready to be released.
