InAUGral Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I have had my TrackIR for a while and enjoyed using it in DCS however since I have got glasses ive noticed that it is much harder for me to look down to some of the panels just to the left or right of me. This may sound petty but even with the sensitivity up higher it still feels like I have to strain my neck alot just to look. Anyway what I want to know is there a way to run DCS World without it disabling the freelook with TIR enabled? Freelook would allow me to look far to the left or right without hurting my neck. Also I am considering buying glasses frames that have more surface area but would rather not have to do that just for TIR. I did a quick search of the forum and found no reference to this. Any ideas? Thanks in advance, InAUGral.
mmaruda Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 You can adjust your curves in the TIR software to alleviate the issue. You can also get contact lenses...
Blooze Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Try increasing the speed slider in the Track IR software. That should decrease the amount of movement required to look in any direction. [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC]
InAUGral Posted March 29, 2013 Author Posted March 29, 2013 I will have a play around with the curves tommorow. I have altered speed a little already it doesnt quite fix my annoyance but the curves might. Also contacts in my eyes is definately not something I want.
WildBillKelsoe Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 you're saying you're using glasses? If so, to reduce the reflection for a fourth dot on the camera, go to options, and lower the LED brightness (or the baseball cap thing for that matter). I had the same problem, but I did the above and something extra. Place the camera in an angle to your head, and move it so it registers the 3 dots. So to cap: Instead of having the camera on the center top of your monitor or TV, move it to the left a bit and twist it on its base to get your three dots centered (you will need an extra hand to help once).
