Drippy Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 I have searched and cannot find this answer. I wanted to make a mission in sp where you have a F-15 on the runway. And a KA-50 or other CAS plane starting from the ramp. So you could knock out all the air threats. Then swap to your CAS role call the F-15 RTB and proceed to have fun with the ground targets from your other plane/helo. I have all the add ons. I tried to make a mission with two client planes and then select world commander as the roll but neither plane showed up. (is that because the were clients and waiting for real players?). Or when I select one plane the other does not show up on the F10 Menu. Any ideas or is this not possible. Thanks
cichlidfan Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 You are trying to make a single player mission and setting up aircraft for multiple players. Sounds to me like it is working exactly as it should. Why would the plane show up when it has no pilot? Drippy Posted March 29, 2013 Author Posted March 29, 2013 Ok. Its working they way it should (Why not have static planes as clients and when they get a pilot they become active? I dont play MP so was not sure how clients work in SP or MP. Also I did not know they were invisible planes until some one used them sorry) How do I do it then?. Or is it not possible?. That is my question. In CA I can swap between A plane and any tank etc. Is there a way to swap between planes is SP?.

Exorcet Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 You can jump between planes (R-Shift J or something like that), but I've only used it to control wingmen, so same side, same flight, same aircraft. Nate--IRL-- Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Go back to the in sim Briefing Screen (LALT-B) and choose another role/aircraft when ever you want. Your current Aircraft will be destroyed as you move to the new aircraft. If you want to control the Battlefield when in an aircraft you must select that option, in the Mission editor, for that mission. Alternatively you can have all AI flights in the mission and use RALT-J to jump into them as required. This will not destroy your current aircraft as you move to the new one, but rather the AI will take control. Drippy Posted March 29, 2013 Author Posted March 29, 2013 Thats what I was looking for. I set a trigger to activate my CAS plane when the last fast mover was gone. Then I was able to Jump into it and start my CAS mission. This lets me do multiple roles in one SP mission. Thanks alot, Drippy
Azrayen Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Or, perhaps simpler, you can set the mission as you did first (with "client" aircrafts) and fly it alone, but in MP mode : - create a server, set a password = you'll be alone & safe - because you're in MP, you can change of "slot" (aircraft) as you wish...

No Need - you can change "Slot" in singleplayer. Nate Ka-50 AutoPilot/stabilisation system description and operation by IvanK- Essential Reading
