DirtyHarry_ZA Posted March 31, 2013 Posted March 31, 2013 Hi looking for the same thing. Tried Voxel Voice Changer, but did not work very well...
Puddlemonkey Posted April 1, 2013 Posted April 1, 2013 (edited) You can try ivona.com to make speech and Sony Sound Forge to emulate the affect of the radio. The following has good results: 1. Normalise RMS to -6dB 2. Distortion effect, transistor 1 3. Reverb plate with a decay time of 0.5s 4. Parametric Equaliser with 2KHz x 0.7 octave, amount = -60dB and output gain adjusted to give you -3dB peak 5. Normalise RMS to -3dB 6. Set volume to -3dB Edited April 1, 2013 by Puddlemonkey
MasterZelgadis Posted April 2, 2013 Posted April 2, 2013 Posted this a while ago, I use Audacity (free!) Clean record -> Equalizer: move the blue bar up to +24 db -> High Pass Filter: 12 db 1050 Hz -> Hard Limiter: Move the top Slider to around -25 db -> boost the track to about +10 db I like the effect more than just the equalizer + 2x High Pass Filter, like you can see in many tutorials. Then I add other effects. If the recording had some background noise after the editing there already is some kind of nice static sond. If you got a very clear record, you can add the atmospheric.ogg from the DCS sounds folder. And of course to add some flavour like AK-fire, explosions, truck-, heli- or plane engine noises you can also take them from the dcs sounds folder. I edit them just by applying the High pass filter and adjusting the volume of the track. You can hear an example in my mission trailer: "Sieh nur, wie majestätisch du durch die Luft segelst. Wie ein Adler. Ein fetter Adler." http://www.space-view.net
