I'm using the Thrustmaster Hotas Warthog and for some reason the throttles fail to move during a ramp start. If a runway or in flight mission is started therefore engines running, the throttles move but do not shut down the engines when moved passed the idle gate.

They worked fine about a week ago so I have no idea of the cause. So far I've checked through windows set up that the axis on both levers are working fine and also through the DCS world-Ctrl's- Axis commands- Axis tune which also show a normal response.

Removed the file from the USER-SAVED GAMES-DCS-CONFIG-INPUT-A10C-JOYSTICK-Throttle-HOTAS Warthog but still have the same problem.

The Home+Ralt and Home+Rctrl button selection also doesn’t do the trick.

Out of interest, how is the throttle idle / off position calculated? Are there switches for these positions or is it worked out by the axis linear travel output?

Any ideas?

Throttle idle is a button AFAIR, but I'm not at home now, so I can't confirm that. Anyways, in the windows game controller manager you should see extra buttons lighting up when in the idle position and turning off when non-idle.

Make SURE there isn't another controller mapped to the throttle. For some reason, the default settings on my system mapped both the Hotas Warthog Throttle and my Saitek Pedals to the throttle. Funny how it did that when the Saitek Pedals didn't even have that axis.

Anyway, you really want to go through and check everything. It seems that no matter how few axes your controller has, DCS will try to map functions that really don't make any sense.
