Unsure of Install Process

I've just downloaded the latest version of DCS: World, and own the original DCS: Blackshark 1 DVD.

 

My question is -- am I supposed to install BS1 from the DVD (I realize this won't install to DCS: World) and then download the Blackshark 2 "Upgrade", and then it installs properly into DCS: World? And then I can "uninstall" BS1 from wherever it installed?

 

Kind of miffed because I can't seem to find my BS2 license, and I know I purchased it when it first became available. At any rate, I'd be happy to just know the correct installation procedure.

Yes.

 

Whether BS1 or DCS World is installed first doesn't matter, just that both are required for the BS2 Upgrade. (BS1 should be activated, as well.) Once the BS2 Upgrade module is installed, BS1 can be freely uninstalled.

 

Regarding your serial number, have you checked this sticky? http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=57556

 

Also note that if you get logged out of the site and cannot see your serial number for this reason, you can solve it through clearing your browser cookies.

Possible to install BS2 Upgrade to DCS World w/o BS1 on disk?

 

Is it possible to install BS2 Upgrade to DCS World without BS1 being installed first?

 

Just did a fresh install of Windows and would rather not have unused software cluttering up the dirve/registry etc.

No.

 

Can however uninstall after BS2 activated.
